Fair of Christmas Gifts is an annual event of a regional character that showcases Christmas decorations, handicrafts, gifts, souvenirs but also includes entertainment and festive programme. New Year's gala concert of Philharmonic Orchestra and concert for children, Skopje, The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia

The Philharmonic Orchestra was established in 1944 and after more than six decades remains the only symphonic orchestra in the country. Every year they organize New Year’s gala concert and concerts for children. More information available HERE

Vip Snow Queen Trophy World Cup Slalom ski race for women and men, Sljeme/Zagreb, Croatia

AUDI FIS Alpine World Cup is a prestigious ski event that is held in Sljeme Ski Resort above Zagreb every year. This year it is a Cup’s 8th edition. The event includes slalom competitions for men and women. More information available HERE

Dubrovnik Winter Fair, Dubrovnik, Croatia

Every December Dubrovnik hosts a Christmas fair at which traditional crafts, handicrafts, Christmas decorations, candles, toys, glassware, embroidery, ceramics, porcelain and all the objects which the artists' hands manufactured for Christmas will be displayed. During the festive season Dubrovnik also becomes a stage for many theatrical performances, music concerts and art exhibitions. More information available HERE

Mimosa Festival; Herceg Novi, Tivat, Kotor; Monetenegro

The Mimosa festival is a manifestation that lasts for several weeks celebrating the early spring announced by the Mediterranean flower mimosa. It includes numerous fiestas, carnivals, majorettes, as well as the travelling caravan of mimosas. The festival moves from one costal Montenegrin town to another. More information available HERE

Rijeka International Carnival, Rijeka, Croatia

The Rijeka Carnival programme which starts in mid-January and lasts until Ash-Wednesday gathers more than 20,000 participants and more than 600,000 domestic and foreign visitors. International Sarajevo Winter Festival, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The 28th edition of the International Sarajevo Winter Festival is a traditional cultural and artistic event taking place in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina every year since the town hosted Winter Olympics in 1984. This edition of the festival is titled 2012. More information available HERE

Surva International Festival of Masquerade Games, Pernik, Bulgaria

The Surva International Festival of Masquerade Games is held every two years. It gathers more than 5,000 masked participants or about 90 groups from every folklore region of Bulgaria, as well as companies from Europe, Asia and Africa that take part in the fancy-dress parades and dances.
